The Manor Resort Golf Club Update
July 2009

The Manor Resort Golf Club staff continues to work diligently to improve on our course conditions.  We are very proud to be recognized as the Number 4 best new golf course in the country in 2007 by Golf Digest but we haven’t been complacent at all.  Our ongoing efforts are to continue improving all aspects of the golf course with major emphasis on improving the rough while still making the course more player friendly.  Bentgrass offers all golfers some of the best playing conditions year round and a golf  experience you won’t soon forget.

In addition to our regular member events and tournaments, we will be hosting two major college tournaments and a professional tournament this fall.  The Manor Resort will be hosting the  Division I Longwood University Men’s Invitational and the Division III Hampden-Sydney Invitational in September.  Many of the top college golfers will be playing our challenging course from the back tees in these two events.  We also have been selected again this year to host a Tar Heel Tour Event.  The Tar Heel Tour is a development tour for young golf pros aspiring to join the ranks of the PGA.  All of these events are open to the public and present a great opportunity to see quality amateur and professional golfers in action.

The Manor Resort Golf Club pro shop staff has been active this year doing custom clubfitting.  We stock all major brands;  Titleist, Cobra, Callaway, Mizuno, Odyssey, Scotty Cameron and more.  Stop in and visit our fully stocked pro shop for all your golf needs.  Our professional staff also offers individual and group golf lessons.
