Virginia State Golf Association selects The Manor Resort Golf Club
for State Sectional Championship

Prince Edward County, Virginia (December 15, 2008)    

The Virginia State Golf Association has selected The Manor Resort Golf Club as the site of the 38th Virginia State Sectional Golf Championship to be staged April 18-19, 2009.

The State Section Championship is a two day event comprised of eight player teams that have advanced from 16 Sectional Events to move on to the State Final Event. There are 16 Sections throughout the state that will send a team to the final event.

“The Manor Resort is excited to have been selected to host this premier event and are anxious to see how the best amateur golfers in the state will fare,” said John Prengaman, Head Golf Professional and Club General Manager.

The Manor Resort Golf Club was selected as one of the best new golf courses of 2007 by Golf Digest Magazine and has only been open since June 2006.
